Architecture
Architecture is the science of designing and construction of
buildings and other forms of physical structures for human use
or occupation. The word architecture comes from a Greek word
“arkhitektonike”. An example of
architectural science is from the ancient Egypt where by
buildings built many centuries ago have been seen to possess
unique features that amaze even the professionals in the
building industry today.
Most people’s understanding of ancient Egyptian architecture is
based mainly on religious monuments with examples such as the
great pyramids of Giza, Luxor Temple and many other great
architect works that have come to significantly make the
Egyptian history and architectural prowess stand out. Critics
have been quoted as saying that even the most qualified modern
architect cannot be able to build a pyramid as accurately as
the ones built by the Egyptians.
Modern architecture is the setting up of buildings with a
common characteristic form. Examples of this architecture can
be seen from inquiring from a Phoenix architect or an Arizona architect. Ancient
architects were reluctant in adopting modern architectural ways
for the fear that they would loose their ancient touch of
architecture. However, as the wave of modernity took effect in
the beginning of the 20th century, many had no option but to
change with time. The construction of sky scrapers gained
popularity after the Second World War and became the dominant
architectural style for institutional and corporate
buildings.
Associated architects
is an association that was formed in order to enable architects
all over to be able to architects to have a body that regulate
and set standards of their association. This association ahs
been able to take architecture to a whole new level that has
made it possible to have new and creative designs. This is why
architecture is fast becoming one of the preferred careers in
the world today.
